We are seeking an FP&A Consultant to join our clients dynamic team. You will play a crucial role in supporting their financial planning and analysis activities. This position requires a strong accounting foundation, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be a designated CPA with a proactive approach and a desire to contribute to the growth of our business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide essential backup support to the Financial Analysts, ensuring continuity during periods of absence.
  • Assist in various FP&A tasks, including financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting activities.
  • Support the analysis of Profit & Loss (P&L) and Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortization (EBITDA).
  • Contribute to the analysis of cash flow, overhead expenses, and Scientific Research and Experimental Development (SR&ED) tax credits.
  • Participate in the creation and distribution of surveys and questionnaires to gather relevant financial data.
  • Collaborate with the Accounting Shared Services team based in Brampton.
  • Partner with the US Finance and Operations team (PPNC) on various financial matters.
  • Leverage a strong accounting background to support financial analysis and reporting.
  • Assist with ad-hoc financial analysis and projects as required.
  • Contribute to the preparation of financial reports and presentations.
Qualifications:
  • Possession of a valid CPA designation is mandatory.
  • Proven experience in an accounting or finance role, with exposure to financial planning and analysis concepts.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting techniques.     
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel (e.g., advanced formulas, data analysis).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Proactive and detail-oriented approach to work.
