We are seeking an FP&A Consultant to join our clients dynamic team. You will play a crucial role in supporting their financial planning and analysis activities. This position requires a strong accounting foundation, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be a designated CPA with a proactive approach and a desire to contribute to the growth of our business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide essential backup support to the Financial Analysts, ensuring continuity during periods of absence.
- Assist in various FP&A tasks, including financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting activities.
- Support the analysis of Profit & Loss (P&L) and Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortization (EBITDA).
- Contribute to the analysis of cash flow, overhead expenses, and Scientific Research and Experimental Development (SR&ED) tax credits.
- Participate in the creation and distribution of surveys and questionnaires to gather relevant financial data.
- Collaborate with the Accounting Shared Services team based in Brampton.
- Partner with the US Finance and Operations team (PPNC) on various financial matters.
- Leverage a strong accounting background to support financial analysis and reporting.
- Assist with ad-hoc financial analysis and projects as required.
- Contribute to the preparation of financial reports and presentations.
- Possession of a valid CPA designation is mandatory.
- Proven experience in an accounting or finance role, with exposure to financial planning and analysis concepts.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting techniques.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel (e.g., advanced formulas, data analysis).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various teams.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a deadline-driven environment.
