Our client, a leading provider of mission-critical software solutions, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Finance to join their growing team.
This role will lead all financial aspects of a high-growth portfolio, overseeing accounting, reporting, analysis, compliance, and integration. The ideal candidate will be a strategic partner to senior leadership, providing insights to drive informed business decisions.
Responsibilities:
- Build and mentor a high-performing finance team.
- Foster a collaborative and results-oriented environment.
- Continuously improve financial systems and processes.
- Manage all accounting functions, including month-end/year-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations.
- Manage cash flow and treasury functions.
- Lead financial due diligence on potential acquisition targets and supporting growth initiatives.
- Oversee post-acquisition integration, including financial and system consolidation.
- Oversee portfolio and business units in Northern and Latin America.
- Provide financial support to acquired businesses.
- Partner with senior leadership to develop and execute strategic financial plans.
- Provide insightful financial analysis to support key business decisions.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks.
- Collaborate effectively with other departments across the organization.
- Ad-hoc projects as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- CPA designation.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in finance, including 5+ years in a leadership role.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles (IFRS preferred).
- Proven experience in financial due diligence and post-acquisition integration within the tech industry.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, preferably overseeing overseas teams.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and high-growth environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling software.
- Proficiency in Spanish is an asset.
