Our client a global audit and advisory firm is seeking a highly experienced professional to join our Accounting and Transaction Advisory team as a Director. This role is pivotal in expanding their client base while providing technical expertise in accounting, engagement quality reviews, valuations, transactions, and M&A advisory. The selected candidate will lead strategic initiatives, support complex financial reporting matters, and uphold the highest quality standards in audit and advisory engagements.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and acquire new clients for the Accounting and Transaction Advisory practice.
- Build strong relationships with CFOs, finance leaders, and key decision-makers.
- Lead proposal development, networking, and thought leadership to establish the firm as a trusted advisor.
- Collaborate with internal teams to promote cross-selling of audit, tax, and consulting services.
- Oversee Engagement Quality Reviews (EQR) and ensure compliance with professional standards.
- Advise clients on complex accounting matters, including IFRS, US GAAP, and ASPE.
- Ensure excellence in audit quality and financial reporting.
- Provide valuation and transaction advisory services, including M&A due diligence and financial modeling.
- Support clients with financial reporting, process improvements, and risk management.
- Guide teams on M&A procedures for smooth deal execution.
- CPA designation (or equivalent).
- Proven ability to develop and maintain client relationships in accounting and advisory services.
- Strong leadership and team management experience in audit, accounting, or financial advisory.
- In-depth knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP, and ASPE.
- Expertise in M&A advisory, valuations, and financial due diligence.
- Strong communication and relationship management skills.
- Bilingual in French and English.
